MEET THE FOUNDER
Hi, I’m Janet.
Accessible Home Co. was born from personal experience.
For years, I have cared for my brother following a traumatic brain injury. That experience changed the way I see the home—and how deeply the right environment can affect comfort, safety, independence, and everyday life.
Along the way, I learned firsthand how challenging even familiar routines can become, from getting into bed and moving safely through the bathroom to simply navigating the home with greater confidence.
I also discovered how overwhelming it can be to find reliable accessibility products. Important solutions are often scattered across countless websites, making it difficult to compare options or know which products are truly designed to improve safety, comfort, and independence.
That experience inspired me to create Accessible Home Co.
My goal is to build more than an online store. I want Accessible Home Co. to be a trusted resource where individuals, families, and caregivers can find thoughtfully curated accessibility products, practical education, and guidance they can rely on.
Every manufacturer we partner with and every product we offer is chosen with one question in mind:
Will this genuinely improve someone’s daily life?
As both a caregiver and founder, I understand that accessibility is about far more than equipment. It is about preserving dignity, reducing stress for families, supporting independence, and creating a home that continues to feel like home.
My hope is that Accessible Home Co. becomes a trusted place for families to find products, guidance, and ideas that make everyday life at home safer, more comfortable, and more independent.
